its being few months i keep juggling and waiting job placement from petronas. numerous occasions, i pictured in my minds, when “finally” i received job offer letter from petronas. latest dream came from article that ive read from blogs. they’ve been consistently talking about oil royalty that should be paid to kelantan’s ruling government. i google a bit and came out with this :

Di perairan Kelantan terdapat simpanan GAS ASLI sebanyak 13 trillion kaki persegi yang sudah sedia untuk diterokai. (13,000,000,000,000).

Ia cukup untuk 7 generasi rakyat Kelantan. (lebih kurang 500 tahun lamanya).

Ianya terletak di Blok-Blok berikut,

  • Blok A18
  • Blok B17 & C19
  • PM3
  • Sub-Blok Ular
  • PM301 & PM302
  • PM303
  • PM311 & 312

and I found this :

  • Blok A18 - as the original author says, the acreage is operated by the Carigali Hess Operating Company (CHOC as its known to friends). It’s located in the Malaysia Thailand Joint Development Area (JDA)
  • Blok B17 – the PSC for this area is PETRONAS Carigali (JDA) Sdn Bhd, also in the JDA.
  • Block C19 – the PSC for this area is Carigali-PTTEP International Operating Company (CPOC), also in the JDA.
  • PM3 – operated by Talisman (Malaysia) Ltd.
  • Sub-Blok Ular – operated by PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd (PCSB).
  • PM301 & PM302 – CS Mutiara, though I’m not sure if they have had to relinquish the acerage yet. It’s interesting to note that this acerage touches the Kelantanese shoreline.
  • PM303 – Shell, PSC awarded in 1999, though yet to produce.
  • PM311 & 312 – joint venture between Murphy Peninsular Malaysia Oil Co Ltd and PCSB, yet to produce.

And from nowhere, I started to think. Its would be nice if petronas send me to Carigali-Hess (Cakerawala Platform), depart @ pengkalan chepa’s airport, 2 weeks offshore. 2 weeks lepak-ing @ home. Nice right? pics of future-me probably in 1 month time (insya-Allah) :

  2. If uu got that job please learn the trade …and dont mix it with politic…….before anything all u ever think is royalties…

    To drill and get the oil…first lots of paper work to be done…and another thing…they assumed the place or the block–potential oil…but after years of drilling which did happen before …turn to be ZERO just drilling salt waters….so what happen the cost of paper work,hring consultant to do the environnetal report (it is a must before exploring)…and other costs …that nobody care to knows..just the money..not the hard work…..so DEAR learn from scratch..dont be greedy…..Another CONGRAT at last not a LOSER anymore.

    • yes still jobless. shell pending until end of this year. placement kat petronas 90% takkan dapat. 10% je chance akan dapat placement. :(
